nPower Morrisons
Today in Morrisons there was an nPower 'salesman' specifically targetting StayWarm users and trying to get them to switch to nPower saying that the latter is cheaper. Okay - that's fair enough. I asked for written information that I could take home and consider. He said that he would not/could not give me anything in writing but was there to sign me (and others) up immediately and that it didn't really matter because there was always the cooling off period.
Hmm - this speaks of sharp practice to me. If the offer and information were genuine why should he object to giving something in writing that could be checked and thought about? I don't appreciate the attempt to railroad me into a split second decision and would certainly not sign up for anything that I had not thoroughly checked out through, for example, uSwitch. I do wonder though how many elderly people on Staywarm might have signed up there and then.

Typical sales practice. Enough said!
I'd be curious to know where they get their figures from to be able to say this sort of thing with any degree of certainty anyway.Indecision is the key to flexibility

We got caught out by NPower a few years ago when we had a seller who cold called on our door.
He said their prices at the time were lower than our supplier at that time. He was correct. Only thing he forgot to mention was the standing charge was more and therefore their prices were the same !!!
We duly cancelled !!
They also signed up an old neighbour and she didnt sign any forms and only knew that she had been signed up when she got a letter from her supplier saying sorry to see her go !!0
