Anyone been to the Costa Brava with Ferris holidays?

Options
Hi,
Looking to go away with DH and our two small children at the end of June for under a grand. Yes, I know, but if all else fails we'll take the trailer tent to a Haven;)
Ferris seem pretty cheap and we did a coach trip to Spain a few years ago, so know what the journey is like. Hard to find reviews though. Also I would've liked a sandy beach and I hear it's stoney there. What is the Costa Brava like with a 4 yr old and 1yr old to entertain?
Thanks in advance

Costa Brava is a big place ,can you narrow it down a bit to where you are looking at going ?
    Have a nice day :)

You could fly for less than that !

Ryanair, Manchester to Girona base fare £47.99 pp rtn 27 June to 4 July

A 1 bedroom apt at Festamar Apts , L'Estartit are only £389 PW

    or

1 bed apt at Thalassa Apartments , Santa Susanna for £360

Both are family resorts with decent sandy beaches

Sorry:o The Ferris deals were allocation on arrival, so basically pot luck, but were full board - ah, the lure of not shopping and cooking...

Budget flyer - helps to know there is some sand round there:D. Tempted to go down the DIY route as so long as we have a nice beach and pool, the rest is dressing, but worried about getting scalded by extra fees on budget flights and also about travel plans not marrying up properly with kiddies in tow - but perhaps fortune favours the brave...especially if I can find cheap flights from Birmingham...

Birmingham flights are the same price. Salou (Barcelona Rues)flights are only £44!

30 hrs on a bus is no fun with a 1 + 4 yr old and you end up spending a fortune on the jouney, eating + drinks to keep them quiet

You can get the HTop Royal Beach All Inclusive in Lloret de Mar for £473

i have done this many times with ferris, the last time 2 weeks ago.
    have a look here

for lots of info on ferris/coach travel and costa brava.

whichever resort you get, and i suspect it will be calella or malgrat you will be fine. both have wide beaches that are more shingle than stones and the sea does get deep very quickly so not ideal for young children, but there are plenty of kids love it.
you could also look on tripadvisor for more info, but holiday truths has more info on coach travel.

Careful of the beachs if you go around callala they are very pebbley saluo and that area is probably a lot better - way better to fly if you have kids - cheap flight and plenty of cheap hotels
