HELP! - just in case the Chinese dress is rubbish...

  • Thank you Tiara :) - I must say now that if anyone is going to risk buying a cheap Chinese dress direct then do it at least 4 months beforehand to save yourself from going potty with worry!!
  • So... the Chinese dress arrived today! If I'd really needed it for July 2nd I'd have been up doo-doo creek!

pros: It's very well made, 3 layers, integral bra, covered buttons, they sent free veil thingy. It's pink!

cons: It's a bit shorter than I wanted, my written instructions didn't get through, they went from pictures only. It's very fitted! I need to lose about a stone in 4 weeks to be able to sit down comfortably.

For a laugh - how about my dainty, whispy almost-not-there free veil?

  • And the bargain Evans dress arrived - a little loose - but a definite rival, good quality for the money I paid!

The ivory one, definitely! And I'm thinking of getting a big pouffey net petticoat to go under to tart it up even more!

I'm not too bothered about the financial outlay now either - they will all be going on Ebay after the wedding :D

In my humble opinion, the Evans one "pinked" up a bit would be the way to go. With a pink petticoat and a large pink flower affair at the neckline and maybe add some pink trim to waistband..........

    Have a fab day!!

I agree that the Evans one looks better, and more bridal, and so if its comfier too then its a bit of a no brainer!

Some pink accessories will finish the look off nicely.

I like the veil thing, is it not what you had in mind?

I agree!!! You could even have it dyed pink, otherwise the pink accessories and trims would be perfect :)

    Hurrah! :T
