  • From what I understand the best way to check which shade is right for you is you use the colour of your decollage & this gives a good indication of what shade is right for you.

    This is a good tutorial.

Ok many thanks for this - I think I would pay out for stuff that I knew was perfect and worked for me, but you can't pay lots of money if I don't know how it will look. Good idea re going to makeup counters - will have to get some energy from somewhere and trek up to Edinburgh. I've been on ebay and found the sample sachets and bought some of them to try.TY! :)

This is what I use, it's light it doesn't clog and just a light dusting covers a multitude of sins - you can use more to deepen cover if you prefer. I'm 50+ and it doesn't dry my skin at all.

Oh noooooo:eek: It's been a few months since I last bought one - they last me ages! Trust me to find something suitable for it to disappear forever! lol

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum is ideal for dry skin, go and have a try of it in Boots. I think they've got 3 for two on at the moment so give the Healthy Mix concealer a go too along with perhaps the Delice de poudre bronzer which is lovely. If you're having a bit of a change around, why not try a new brush to apply your foundation - the flat top powder brush from elf is perfect for this - http://www.eyeslipsface.co.uk/product~prodID~136.htm

There's a new foundation out by Benefit that's quite good. If you go to one of their counters they'll give you a bit of a makeover so you can try it out.

I have dry skin and I like Estee Lauder Double Wear Light. Estee Lauder will give you a 10 day sample of their foundations (I got 3 last time and they lasted me about 2 months) so it's worth speaking to them you could get a sample of that and see what else the suggest. It is pricey about £26 I think but a bottle lasts me about 9 months and it is excellent.
