Hi Ladybird,
I've just read through your diary - you're doing AMAZING - puts people like me to shame. I'm subscribing so you can help spur me on!! (That sounded more selfish than meant :rotfl:)

Fingers crossed for you Ladybird- hope you manage to rent your house out straight away.
Scuff is right- you've done well in a short period of time. With your spreadsheeting and planning you'll get there.
Hope you've found lots to e-bay. Just think of all the de-cluttering your doing as well!!
My e-bay did much better at the end- went up to over £30!
I think I'll try Lidl this week- the gin must have been a bargain!

Hi Ladybird,
The Lidi shop sounds great,:D another place worth taking a look at is approved foods (online shop) there is a del charge but the savings more than make up for it.
How orgainsed are you with the spreadsheets,as you say at least now you know it is doable but fingers crossed for your house renting really soon.

Keep meaning to check out Approved Foods, will have to take a look, thanks Fae!
The gin isn't bad and only £10 for a decent sized bottle. We have been guilty of spending too much on wine in the past... just too easy to unwind with a bottle, moreish stuff! We are finding a G&T in the evening hits the spot as a small treat to unwind with if we fancy a drink, and we don't go mad on it, usually just a single glass.
My spreadsheet is not very high tech! Just a list of bills and debts and payments that helps me keep a track of where we are. Feeling a bit gutted as I realised yesterday while doing some internet banking that we owe more on our loan than I thought we did- the figure we got from the bank must have been a settlement figure rather than the amount left to pay over the agreed instalments. So disappointed, feels like one step forward two steps back sometimes.
Letting agent has given us a list of work that needs doing on our house before we can let it. More money. Probably the last of our relocation money. Looks as though all the headway we have made is going to get gobbled up shortly.
Oh well... must plod on. At least the progress we have made has given us a bit of breathing space, as much as it will pain me to see the debt total move up again.
Just have to keep on going, each month that passes is chipping away...0 -
You have done well in a short period of time, massive amount to pay to debts in a month(as i well know!!)
Keep it up, hope your house rents quickly.:eek:Living frugally at 24

Thanks YoungBusinessman.
Time to start being more positive again and less despondent about it all (definitely guilty of that this week!). Managed another £30 CC payment overpayment today, chip chip chip.0 -
Hope the jobs on your home don't take too much time or money.
I agree that it often feels like one step forward, two steps back but just think, as least you are now tackling the debt and not running up more.
Well done on the overpayment!

You are right GL, two forward one back better than three back!
Current eBay items up to £40 now and 3 of them finish this evening so hopefully another overpayment to go on in a couple of days.
Oh, and I claimed another £5 Amazon voucher from Swagbucks yesterday- £40 I have had from them now, for doing very little! I you aren't already using it then it's worth checking out! http://www.swagbucks.com0 -
Hi Ladybird
Just read your diary from start to finish! You are very inspiring and have done so well. You should be very proud
I really hope your house rents quickly
Well done on ebay. I have made quite a bit on ebay in the past and surveys. But now with working fulltime I am finding my evenings more precious and have kids of decided not to do any of that at all. I am earning £450 more a month than I was previously so i am just going to cling to that thought when I suddenly feel like I should be doing stuff in the evenings!!

Morning all! Hello OrangeFairy
I think you are absolutely right to dedicate your evening time with your family, there is nothing more important is thereIn your shoes I would make exactly the same decision.
Plenty of time for surveys and whatnot here, speaking of which I should be getting on with my work this morning rather than faffing about on my computer
When did PayPal get so quick at transferring funds? Instant withdrawal of ebay money in my account today so another £44 off the CC. Only another £126 to go to hit my October overpayment target :j
Have a great day all...0
