Brick Paint?

Hi,

I've got a large brick shed that I'm planning on painting soon. Can anyone recomend a decent paint for it that won't flake off please. I'm going to paint it red because it's already red so it should make it a bit easier.

OH thinks garage floor paint will do but tbh it's a bit pricey and obviously I want to do it as cheap as possible :D

Thanks.

    Hi Melonade

I used a matt brick & tile paint from Wilkinsons on my brickwork...think it was about £18 for 2.5 litres. Done the job and has not peled off in two years despite being in a quite exposed location.

You could try masonry paint but you might need to apply a stabilising solution first depending on the condition of your brickwork....that's when it can work out pricey! If the brickwork is ok, I believe ASDA have masonry paint on special offer although I don't know what the quality is like.

    Good luck!

    Thanks :D

I'll nip to Asda first and check what they have and try Wilkies too as it's just round the corner. The Wilkies website have a 2.5 litre brick red paint for £20 with a good high performance claim... but I'll read the back first to see if I need the stabilising solution you mentioned :)
