Weeds

If anybody on the SE London/Kent borders is wondering where all the weeds are this year, they are in my garden!

My poor lawn seems to be 75% weeds at the moment and I'm wondering if it's due to neglect, as I don't treat my lawn. Or if the wet weather has been a big contributing factor? I noticed my neighbours seem to have weeds flourishing in their gardens too.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

If you don't put weedkiller on them or don't dig them out, they'll not go of their own accord you know. And the following year they'll bring all their family, and the year after that they'll bring their friends. Etc.

If you know your lawn as "grass" then you can live an idle life, mow it once a week and look out on the green area

Weeds are subjective, moss gives a lovely green area, dandelions are green, buttercups have nitrogen nodules on the roots, daisies are pretty

Just keep mowing and unless you really want a bowling green, ignore the weeds

I am for ignoring weeds as well, within reason, some of them are quite pretty.
