Nice to see double standards from MSE.
A friend of mine runs a small business and someone gave him a slating on here. He joined and put his side of the story on here and MSE deleted it instantly then banned his routers MAC address so he couldn't even get on here.
Still, as least the big boys get the right of reply.....Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0 -
To be fair, anyone can email MSE admins and request they post a "right of reply" to a thread, without having to create an account. (Accounts for a business are not allowed on here, without MSE permission. And even then they have a code of conduct they need to follow).0

He did, he even phoned them and they refused to allow the post.Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0 -

We've been increasingly unimpressed with 123-reg recently and have been moving our domains elsewhere. Just glad out most important sites are using other DNS servers.
I was working on a new site when 123-reg went. I'm surprised none of our customers phoned-in but it came back about half hour after I noticed.
We keep getting contradictory emails from 123-reg about domain renewals, expiry, payment issues etc.0 -
The DNS issues were really stunning. They posted a status update after they fixed it, but neglected to tell customers they had used a way old backup to restore data, meaning I had 200 domains all pointing to the wrong place.
Caught with their pants down, not only on server security - but on dodgy / failure to make regular backups. These are basic starting points - I'm Gobsmacked.0
