No way, if you have not already discovered them, buy a mooncup. You will find thread under health and beauty on these.

I had to google that. Crickey - there are times I'm pleased I'm a man.

Thank you for the tampon advice, I was going to buy them there! They might take a bit of space but at least they don't weigh much. Even my Lonely Planet guide said that they're easily available everywhere but it was written by men and they probably assume that one type of tampons is suitable for all women! I think I'll give the mooncup a miss though.

Sarah - I wasn't planning on taking a maxi dress as I know I'll hardly wear it. They always seem like a good idea but as soon as I put one on it looks like I've dressed in some sort of tent, it never seems to be the elegant beach look I'm hoping for! The trousers will also be useful for one of my trips in Korea.

In response to the other things, all documents will be emailed to me and saved in Dropbox once I figure it out (and emailed to hubby).

Trainers - I'm not doing any hiking (and will be limiting the walking if tuk tuks etc are cheap enough) so I can do without them. I have my Merrell granny sandals so they will be fine.

No brolly, I'll buy cheap ones and a poncho. I checked the weather and knew its rainy season before I even booked but I'm not going to let a bit (or a lot!) of rain ruin my trip. The bar and a beer idea sounds perfect during the rain!

Does anyone have any insect bite recommendations? I was going to just take a small tube of bite stuff but I have acquired a nasty bite from my ever so tropical south London garden and I'm in agony already.

Also, has anyone been to Sihanoukville and would they recommend a couple of days or can I miss it out? And is it worth trying to go to see the dolphins in Kratie?

Local stuff usually suited to local beasties and cheaper.
