Lava Lamp - Leeds

Options
Hey Everyone!

Sadly this morning I broke my parents Mathmos Lava Lamp by mistake.
Was an accident during cleaning :(

Been looking on ebay and on the Mathmos website but sadly the postage on Ebay is very expensive and Mathmos didn't seem to be able to help me much either.

Was wondering if anyone in the Leeds area has a Lava Lamp for sale to replace it?
My partner is gutted cause he really liked his lamp and had it for over 5 years.
I feel so terrible and really wanna make it up to him
I know he doesn't mind what colour he just likes Mathmos lamps.
really hope someone can help.

Thanks

Have you tried Gumtree or Preloved instead?

Not sure you will get many replies in the Techie thread.

The Lava lamp I have has an iceberg base with a polar bear on it, whereas the top is a tip of an iceberg with a penguin on it. I have had it for over 20 Years and to find similar would be a near impossibility. It would be quite a trek for you to collect it unless you just happen to be in the neighbourhood. Finding an exact replica of his lamp is going to be no easy feat no matter where you look.

Which lamp is it? Mathmos do a good range of replacement bottles. http://www.mathmos.com/mathmos-astrobaby-lava-lamp-replacement-bottles-16680-0.html - not a bad price for genuine Mathmos.

Parents lamp or partners lamp?? That's quite a difference relationship wise :D

If it is a real shame to you, and you really do want to replace it, go and buy one online. You broke it!

Most of them aren't cheap, but then they're not a cheap brand.

They do bases - which lamp is it? http://www.mathmos.com/astrobaby-lava-lamp-base.html --nearly as dear as a new lamp though. What has actually happened to it?
