I'm just in the process of getting anuity quotes coz i'm considering selling my hyp to get some regular income, since i asked the question my fund has gone from 79k to 76k, in only a few days,
I'm a bit out of touch living in asia, is this a glich, or is it gonna get worse?, i know nobody has a chrystal ball but any thoughts would help, i'm wondering shouls i just sell now before i get the anuity quotes or is there a remote possibility of a recovery?.
Thanks

Also, is there a particular time or day to sell shares, ie, first thing in the morning or just before closing? likewise is it say better on a monday or friday, it's just that i've only got one shot to sell them so if it makes a difference i'd set my alarm and give it my best shot. tnx0

Bear in mind that annuities depend on the returns available from gilts and those are very low at present. In the short term they may go even lower. In the longer term rates may improve.0

That's true, i'll post the quotes i get out of interest, and review my portfolio to see if it's up or down, for sure it'll be down hehe.0

With share prices down and annuity rates down this is just about the worst time to convert into an annuity you could choose. If you can you could well be much better off waiting a few years.
When you say HYP, do you mean a HYP inside a SIPP?
