NO SWAPPING ALLOWED!!!

UPDATE

Just seen further details in the email.

2 'free' (£86) Legoland Windsor tix with £4ish spend
Newspaper-based token collect

What: 2x free tix to Legoland Windsor Get by: Sun 3 Jun 2012 How: In a nutshell, collect nine tokens, pick dates that you can make then send off an application form by post. But it's mega-fiddly. Here's a step-by-step...

Step 1: From Sun 27 May, collect tokens from nine different Suns (30p weekdays, 50p weekend) till Mon 11 Jun. The last date you can start collecting is Sun 3 Jun.

It's a £2.70 spend on papers, plus 2x 60p for first class stamps. So your total spend should be £3.90. As adult tickets are £43.20 each on the day (£34.20 for kids), this could save you about £86.

Step 2: You need to be flexible and you must follow these fiddly rules to the letter. Choose four out of seven date bands below spanning from Jun-Nov 2012. You'll be allocated a specific date within a band - you can’t request a date unfortunately.

Band Date range
A
25 Jun-10 Jul
B
11 Jul-31 Jul
C
1 Aug-18 Aug
D
19 Aug-5 Sep
E
6 Sep-24 Sep
F
25 Sep-15 Oct
G 16 Oct-5 Nov

Step 3:
From Thu 24 May, download the application form from The Sun (or get in paper). Then list your four date band choices, in order of preference, on the bottom right hand corner of the envelope you send your application in. Applications that don't include four band choices won't be processed.

Applications must be received by Wed 13 Jun 2012. Fill it in, attach the tokens and send to the address given, plus an SAE of at least 15 x 8cm with a first class stamp attached.

The tickets will be valid for one day from one of your chosen date bands where possible. You'll be contacted with an alternative if your dates are unavailable.

Excluded dates: N/A The detail: Allow 28 days to receive the tickets. Photocopies of tokens aren't accepted and will be void if used on any other date than the one given. Watch out, as if you send multiple applications from the same household they’ll all be void.

Additional visitors must pay full price. Not valid with any other offer. Tickets can be used by adults or kids. Excludes Legoland Windsor Resort Hotel. Thanks for this, they did the same thing with Thorpe park tixs a few years ago however the dates they give you tend to be rubbish ie a Thursday when the children are in school, however saying that Legoland is really suited for smaller children so if you have a pre schooler its well worth the effort.

    This is great. Thanks OP.
Wanted to take the children here so fingers crossed for good dates.
Like with the Thorpe Park and Alton Towers tickets, we use our parents' addresses to improve our chances of getting decent dates by three. Tickets we don't use get passed on to family and friends.

Several years ago we took our children out of school to go to Legoland. We had the most fantastic time as there was very little waiting for the rides. We still have fantastic memories of the day.
I felt very naughty and wasn't completely honset with the school but we couldn't afford a holiday so ,sort of , felt justified.

Its usually 1 set of tickets per house hold but if you want 4 tickets collect 2 lots of tokens, send them off together with a letter asking for them to be on the same date and then have them sent to different addresses in different names. So one to your house and them the other to your parents/in-laws/friend.

I do it every year with the Alton Towers and Thorpe Park tickets :)
