Would a Building Society Savings Account show in credit reference agency records pls?

Not sure if this is the correction section of the forums to ask this:

somebody told me that a savings account in a Building Society - as opposed to a Bank - would not show in credit reference agency reports i.e. with Experian, Equifax etc.

Tried to find clarification of his online, but couldn't.

Is that correct or not?

    Savings accounts don't report at all.

    Nope and the lovely little NatWest First Reserve Account has a Debit Card and is wondefully kept off the grasping CRA records. Hoorahhh.

    If it's a credit account, chances are it'll appear.

    If it's not a credit account, chances are it'll not appear.

    After all, whats the point of putting a savings account on a credit report?
