Please advise whether I can use our local waste disposal site safely for P&C letters

Hi,

We always tear off the address labels from any letters we receive.

Can we use our local waste disposal site to safely get rid of these labels or am I best just do as I have done before; namely use my cross-sheet thredder before putting them in my dustbin ?

Any advice would be welcome.

Many thanks.

Your name and address isn't confidential information, anyone can find that, it's public. Mine just go in the ordinary rubbish.

Letters showing account numbers, date of birth, mother's maiden name, now that's a different matter.

Why don't you shred them and then take them o the recycling skip? Don't you have a separate recycling bin that the council collect? Just put your shredded paper in there.

  • Hi,
