Depending where you live and usefulness, the members ticket also gives free, unlimited, access to you and a family member to RHS gardens, such as Wisley. This is good value on it's own. Plus The Gardener magazine monthly
Especially as next year is the centenary, should be worth every penny
Been a couple of times, crowded, food very expensive and long queues, but for a gardener it is a must see, if only to meet fellow growers & enthusiasts

All the info you need is on their website http://www.rhs.org.uk/join. It's only worth joining if you are going to visit all the gardens, and possibly also the shows IMHO. If you join now, you could get discounts on the Hampton Court Show (up to 4 people) plus still be a member for Chelsea next year (and you get to go on Members day - not as manic as other days). I'm just mulling it over myself whether it's worth joining up....I've been Chelsea 3 times now and was gutted I didn't get my act together for this year. It does get busy, but you do get to see everything if you have patience. I'm a bit hardcore and tend to get there very early and stay very late, and love the big plant sell off on the last day - I met Alan T himself one year after the show had officially closed by they were doing some corporate smoozing - he was most obliging!!! I would post the pic but it's soooo embarassing, I look really stupid cos I'm so excited LOL!!! :rotfl:Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -

As you say, IMHO, but IMHO it does depend where you live. I am about an hour, south, from Wisley and use the members ticket at least 4 times year
38 quid for two, for a year versus 10.50 each per visit. Sort of half price for us, plus you get the magazine free. And it is good day out
Of course the more times you go the cheaper it gets, and we have always found something of interest there, including butterflies in the glass house event for the grandchildrenWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0
