hello,
My old electricity meter gave up and a new two read type was installed giving an R1 and R2 reading, I know which is day and night as I have done the tests.
My bills have gone up from £40 a month to £ 86 a month and Npower says I have been undercharged for years!, I can not understand this:mad: they checked the old meter a few months ago and confirmed it was in working order before it eventually "gave up the ghost".
does any one have any clues?

sounds like it was slowing down, was it the old spinning dial type?Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

the old style mechanical meters never get the registers mixed up so I am surprised they have said you have been undercharged. The timer could have been so far out, which they frequently are, you could have been getting the cheap rate in the day. You will be paying the going rate now so long as the registers are read correctly. If you dont have night storage heaters and not using approx 25% to 30% of your total energy at night, it would be cheaper to arrange for single tariff billing0
