  • Easy way to get video content, buy it from iTunes.

Difficult way convert DVDs. This requires a multi stage process of getting the data from a DVD (easy if you recorded it on a DVD recorder otherwise fairly hard), transcoding it to the screen resolution of the iPod then loading it in.

Having done this once (it became one of those I've started so I'll finish things) I think if I wanted further video content on an iPod touch I would buy it.

It also filled about a quarter of the available space so after much hard work I deleted it !

Use handbrake to transcode the videos. It's a very good and free application.:T

Once you've created your video (or CD or ebook or whatever) content, open up itunes on the PC the Touch is registered, click on "file", then "add folder to library" then navigate to wherever you put the video or whatever. Let it trundle away until it's sorted everything out then decide which videos you want on the Touch by connecting it to the computer
