Yes it's 1A saw it with my own eyes on the screen in the branch, and no I don't have a premier account either.
Someone may well have need for a Premier Account, I've yet to actually meet them though.0 -
I "dread" to think what my Lloyds credit score is now (actually, I don't care much). I recently moved a few years' worth of ISA money and some incentive saver money out of Lloyds because their rates were no longer competitive for my money. I also had - at their insistence - a recent appointment with one of their "financial advisors". Predictably, that person tried to sell me stuff I wasn't interested in. To be fair to them, they pretty swiftly noticed they had nothing I could be tempted to buy, and I was free to leave before they even offered me a cup of coffee (don't know whether they would offer you a coffee, but perhaps they should, given that they seem to let you wait for absolutely ever to talk to someone, even with an appointment).
I can now no longer apply for any of their accounts online, nor can I "upgrade" my Vantage current accounts online (not that I want to, was just playing about and noticed the limitations). Need to appear in Branch if I want anything, apparently. So it seems I have been marked in their internal credit scoring system - - either as a complete 'undesireable', or as someone they'd like to get their teeth into because they think they could get some of my cash if they could talk me into one of their products. Whichever - -- the likelihood of Lloyds getting any of my money is now close to zero for the foreseeable future. We're lucky that there is a bit of competition between the banks, so we can pick and choose.0 -
Did not know about the internal scoring, thank all for your advice. Next time I'm in I'll certainly make a point of asking.

I hope you've now learned to review your own arrangements before ever talking to bank staff. They rarely offer it in order to benefit you0

Generally, I would agree, but on a review which I had with LTSB they did suggest the Vantage account instead of the Classic account, thereby making me a lot more interest.
(Although they did also try to sell me other products which I already knew about and politely declined).0 -
I suspect the staff member using that line could be sacked for it.
But while there are no complaints it doubtless suits the manager to turn a deaf ear.0 -
I would highly doubt that this was true and this seems like a tactic that the cashier has been told to use from another member of staff. Why don't you inquire more about this and see where it leads you..
This could get interesting0 -
Unfortuantly there is no evidence to prove this is not true, hard to believe but at 100-300 a year for an account it's a nice little earner.0
