In a conundrum

I was divorced a couple of years ago and lost everything, my home and savings…everything except for my pensions.
I have paid off all debts from the marriage and I now have savings in the region of £30,000 but no home. I am a Brit but moved with work to live in Dubai, I don't pay tax, and I am able to save in the region of £2000 a month, a pay raise will increase that to £3000 a month shortly.
I am not sure what to do now. I am 46 and as I said don't have a home in the UK. I rent in Dubai. I was thinking of buying in the UK and renting the property out to pay the mortgage plus putting in a little to top it up if the rental doesn't cover the mortgage. The problem is with everything in the Eurozone etc falling apart am I better saving the money and investing and buying outright in say 10 years when the pot would have built to £300,000 plus.

Very difficult to call,i see the pro,s and also the cons in your position.
The housing market in the UK is very up and down depending on what area you are discussing, the area we live in has not seen the drop in prices that are being banded around the media.
We were looking at selling and downsizing but the maths did not add up for us at the moment.
I think you may need a crstal ball for your answer, anyway all the best and i hope you make the correct decision0
