Item lost over airmail! What to do!

Hey hey
Sold a £34.99 toothbrush over ebay and the guy emailed me asking if I'll deliver to Ireland. I quoted him prices for standard airmail and then with international recorded and he just wanted standard!
Off it went and I got a certificate of postage with it too (though that doesnt have the price of product on it...)
This was on the 26th of Feb. I was told it would take 3 to 5 days to delivery. Anyway the guy emailed me saying he hasn't received it BUT he did leave good feedback on my account last week. He said this was his brother doing it by accident.
Should I do anything?

If they paid with paypal, it could still come back and bite you. It won't matter to paypal that you've got feedback - if they ask for a tracking number and you can't supply one, you'll be forced to refund.
Never let your buyer dictate the method of payment if it puts you at risk.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
You have insurance upto £32 if it doesn't state the value
I always use International Signed For & dont give any lesser options, so you know when its been delivered as it provides tracking as required by paypal.
The buyer might be trying it on, if he has left +ve feedback.
I would wait to see if they claim with Paypal at which time you'll have to refund them0 -

Grr
I'm not a professional seller as such so don't really know all the deails about this type of thing! Just sell the odd thing here or there! Should I fill in a Royal Mail Claim form to try for the £32?
The guy seemed pretty nice! His address is based at HP in Ireland so I doubt he'd be ripping me
hmmm
EDIT: Also I dont have any money in my paypal account. Only the bank account thats linked to it. Am I right in thinking they can only withdraw money thats in the account?[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

Get a claim form from your local PO & claim the £32, but you'll only get the receipt/invoice total less VAT.
You'll need to ADD FUNDS to your account before you can make a refund0 -
The item is only 7 days overdue so I wouldn't refund just yet. You don't want to refund and then have him tell you it just arrived. See if you can let him wait a little longer... give him a date, and ask him to let you know if it still hasn't arrived by then, and you'll refund.
Give him confidence that you do intend to refund, and there's less chance of him opening a dispute (although he may still do that)My TV is broken!

I think they can reverse the recent transfer that you made from your Paypal account to your bank account.0 -
Yeah there was a poster on here the other day saying that PayPal had taken funds from their bank account.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--
