My sons young GF aged 16 has once again been thrown out of the house by her parent. Does anyone know what her rights are to get her stuff. GF is on a training course in a hairdresser and currently only has the clothes she is standing up in. It is likely the parent will refuse access in which case what if anything can she do? GF also has a college place and starts in September.
The victims we know so well
They shine in your eyes
When they kiss and tell
Strange places we never see
But you're always there
Like a ghost in my dream

When they kiss and tell
Strange places we never see
But you're always there
Like a ghost in my dream

Is there anyone at the college who can advocate for her?
Connexions? I'm not sure if it's still operating in all areas, so google that plus your area.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I'd also recommend Connexions as a starting point.
We've been through similar with a friend of my daughter's. If the young woman is needing to be housed you may well get asked by the housing people if she can stay with you. If you innocently say yes because you don't want to see her on the streets in the meantime you may well find that this is interpreted as she can have a permanant home with you.
I feel for you, its a difficult situation and again I'd recommend that you as parents are very clear about your boundaries with the young people and any professionals you may get involved with. We were not and got caught up in the middle of another family's difficulties - not very nice.
