Sound problems on acer aspire 6930

Hi, hoping someone can help

Last week I changed the sound settings on my laptop so I could watch/listen to DVD on our tv via HDMI cable. I am now trying to play a youtube clip on my laptop but can't hear anything and can't remember what settings I changed. I've gone into playback device, selected either speakers or realtek digital output and ran the test and I can hear the beeps on both of these, but I get no sound when playing back any clips.

Has anyone got any ideas which settings I need to change?

    It's okay, I got it working again somehow - changed various settings then closed & restart and I have sound. Phew!
