How about an old Palm Tungsten from eBay?
I used to use one to take notes at meetings, and it doesn't take long to get used to their Graffiti pen-based text entry, and transfer from there to a PC should still be easy.0 -
My MDA Vario (bought 2006) has various text entry methods, including a form of shorthand where a simple shape drawn on the touchscreen indicates a certain character (can't recall its name ATM). It's basically a low-spec version of today's smartphone, running Windows Mobile.0
