Cost of fitting TV to Wall by AerialForce

Hi All

I have a 40inc LCD TV that I would like installed on my wall and I spoke to a company called AerialForce who quoted me £150 including the bracket for my TV.

They are scheduled to come over this coming Saturday for a free evaluation with no obligation to have any work done if I change my mind.

I don't know much about these sort of things but £150 sounds good to me for a TV installation to a wall including a bracket but my concern is how reputable are AerialForce?

Anyone have any experience with them? They were the first listing on google search.

If they're no good then can someone please recommend a good reliable company?

I live in south east London.

Many thanks in advance.

what happens to all the cables? Do they channel them into the wall? Or just leave them hanging down?

Hi fluffpot, I have trunking which I use to hide wires along the skirtings and I will use these for the TV as well.

My wall is weird concrete or something as screws done stay in and come out no matter how long I screw them in for otherwise I would have done it myself.

If it was a plasterboard wall then it would've been pretty easy to cut two holes, one on the top just behind where the TV will be mounted and another one right at the bottom to conceal the cables but that won't be possible with my wall.

To be honest I am not too fussed about the cables as I can use the DLine Trunking to sort that out myself but I think they will use that anyway as standard.

My main concern is whether I am about to be deal with a bunch of cowboys or a decent TV installer. I'd happily pay him extra if he does a good job.

I guess it's too late now, but you can get the brackets for £13 on Amazon. I would suggest doing it yourself or finding a friend, since trunking is very easy. I am a complete dunce at DIY but I could do this.

  • Avoid this lot like the plague.
They'll quote you a standard £35 for an aerial repair and tuneup, but when they get up on the roof the story changes, Oh no you need a new aerial, cost £138.

I kept the old areial to check it out, and found it could have been repaired in about 5 mins by renewing a screw in one of the brackets.
