Unfortunately we dont have photos and dont think we are entitled to see what the police have written.

So, the bogus witnesses were not spoken to by the police, and the gentleman on the crossing was, and he supports your daughter? Does your daughter know if the other driver was reported for any offences?

If your daughter is satisfied that she was not at fault, and she has a genuine witness, then her best bet is to write everything down now, exactly as she remembers it, including descriptions of the people who were present. Were there any passengers in the other car? Did she get a good look at them? Did she manage to get photos of the other car and driver?

If this was a set-up, then you can guarantee that a hefty credit hire claim and an injury claim (at least one injury claim) will follow.

Her insurers can apply for the police report. If your daughter's description of the accident is correct, then I'm sure her insurers will heed her concerns.

I don't know Dagenham, but from Google streetview it would appear if the other car was stationary behind the Zebra crossing then they'd have had to launch themselves at WARP speed to T-bone your daughter. Sounds like she miss-judged the crossing. I certainly can't see how it could be the other driver's 100% fault and I wouldn't be surprised if ended 100% with your daughter. However, I'm no expert so could be completely wrong.

I'm quite a trustworthy character, but many many many years ago, when only 18, I crashed my father's car and my description of the accident to my father was somewhat different from reality. ;)

    Thankyou for you replies.
We will have to see if we can see what the police report says. We dont know if he was reported for anything. At least he had insurance thats one bonus i suppose. Our witnesses have both done statements backing up what my daughter has said so fingers crossed.

I also recognise such an occurrence in my early days of driving. :D

Ditto. I sense a fairly long queue forming here...
