insurance claim warranty and vice versa help
For the first time in 22years of driving I have unfortunately had to make a claim on my insurance.
The short version is 4 weeks ago whilst travelling home, I hit a fox the next day my car started pulling dramatically to the left. I took it to my local garage who could not find anything wrong with the tracking or any visible damage.
Contacted my insurance company on 3rd taken to approved repairers who provided 4 wheel alignment and electronic test and said that there was a recall on my car for steering column issues.
Contacted Kia who confirmed no recall, Insurance sent Independent Assessor who looked at garage report and said mechanical fault and to take to Kia as still under warranty.
Car taken to Kia who claim accident damage (although as yet no one is actually able to diagnose what the problem is).
I am now stuck with out a car for three weeks while Kia say insurance and Insurance say mechanical warranty issue..
Please can anyone give me some advice on where to go to move this forward or who to contact? Has anyone else been in this situation?
Please please help
Thanks
