RBS shares question

Evening all,

hope this is a stupid question, my mums got some RBS shares and we've had a letter from X-O.co.uk regarding a corporate event which says

in lieu of every 10 shares of RBS GRP ORD GBP0.25 you will recieve 1 share in RBS ORD GBP 1 (post cons).

Just a bit confused what this means are these two different lots of shares? Thanks

Nope, instead of having 10 shares worth 10p there would be 1 share worth £1. They reckon it makes them look better, but you're no worse (or better!) off so worry not.
