a lot of people wont go down the take action against the company(s) as it can be seen as too much hassle, the same as the better pay up, as we dont want any trouble type of thing.

I dotn know the exact ins and outs of Give the FAs case in getting compensation, but if it was me then i would want to take action against the car park owners (ie the shopping centre ) so that they would ( hopefuly) re think their relationship with the car parking company, ie terminate any contract/agreement so that the car parking company is denied the permision and ability to opperate.

If you do claim compensation keep it to a reasonable amount, something that would cover your costs, and if its more than that, donate some to a local charity:A

The same has happened to me and my mum at Tesco's car park. Got a fine in the post from Civil Enforcement Ltd. I also wrote an appeal with proof of disability which was rejected.

It is waste of time as they do not have any kind of fair appeals system. When I have forgot the blue badge in a council run parking area they have always, so far, canceled the ticket on proof.

I am onto my Final demand before action letter. Just ignore them as the advise here. They would lose in court and you could probably sue them or the landowner / store.

It's not a fine, so don't worry yourself.

In most cases the vehicle can be verified as a disabled persons by the tax disc.
However this wont earn the parasites their 30 pieces.

You have shown them you had a right to use that bay, badge or no badge now simply ignore them.

Don't think even Heswell would fancy a pop at this one.

These retail parks need to ensure that when they give these PPC's a contract, that it is written into it if at appeal a blue badge is produced it is allowed, or one of them is going to get in deep doo doo one day!

Thanks to everyone for their replies. I will not be paying and will wait and see what happens.
Forgot to say in my original post but parking in this particular car park is free. At the time of the incident it was virtually empty so salt was rubbed into the wound.

Their actions are actually unlawful. They break the Equality Act every time they do this. They cannot put up notices demanding to see blue badges. Having had proof of your disability, they should have dropped the matter very fast. You can now sue them for harassment.
