Get It Delivered To A Different Address?

My mum and dad want to buy a massive roll of bubble wrap from ebay 100m of it for them moving.

thing is they dont have a paypal/ebay account so asked if i would buy it and then get it delivered to there house.

Now i buy and sell a lot, and dont know really if a seller would do this as i might be a bit iffy if someone asked me to do it!!!

Would you let someone do this, if they paid via a verified paypal account, but wanted it sent to a completely different address?

if i cant do this, is there anywhere else i could get a roll of bubble wrap 750mmx100m for less than £22?

I have done this a few times when buying stuff and never had any problems with sellers sending to a different address. I have a 100% feedback, verified address and always paid straight away so they could see I had a good track record.

Only way to find out is ask the seller. Or alternatively why not open an ebay account for them.

if there is a problem ask to pay by bank transfer or PO.

I think the seller will be fairly pragmatic though, you are hardly likely to start your scamming career with bubble wrap....:D

I bought an item from ebay yesterday and had it sent to a different address. I contacted the buyer to make sure it'd be ok just in case.

    Hi
As i buyer i always have things sent to another address and no-one has ever minded. My husband and i both work full time so are never here for deliveries, we always send things to my mum and dads or his mum and dad.
    Shouldnt be a problem.

Just add the 'other' address to your eBay account
    http://payments.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserAddresses&cmd=standalone

Select that address when processing through checkout, as Paypal uses the address selected in the checkout process

so if i do that i just change the primary postage address to my mum and dads for this transaction do i? and leave the paypal one as it is?
  • Yes, I always use a different delivery address on Ebay as I'm never in to sign for things. PayPal doesn't object either. So just do what someone esle suggested and add a 2nd address to Ebay.
