I'm sorry to learn that you haven't received your order

Ok I ordered an item from boots chemist over the internet. The items Iordered totalled £40+. Now they said it could take 4-5 working days to get tome, but it took 3 days. Now as I hold down a full time job and they deliveredthe item at 4pm on a Wednesday I was not at home. But instead of leaving thepackage with a neighbour or just leaving a ‘we called and you weren’t in’ cardthe currier decided to just leave the item on the front door step. I returnedhome from work and did not see any package at the front of my house and onlydiscovered that it had been apparently delivered 3 days later when I had receivedan email from the delivery company about its dispatch. I can only assume that somebodyhas seen the item on my door step and taken it as I have searched outside myhome twice and there is definitely no package there. I really don’t know whereI stand here as I have emailed boots and told them that I am not happy with theblas! manner in which this delivery was attempted. Does anyone think I have acase here to ask for a refund?

  • Yes, you have a case for a refund. Leaving a package in front of your house is stupid.

You don't just have a case for a refund; you have full legal rights to a refund (or, if you wish, Boots to re-send the goods).

You paid them to deliver some goods. You haven't received those goods. Therefore, you get a refund. The fact that they paid a courier company to deliver them to you is of no relevance to your contract with Boots.
