AXA dragging feet

Hello!
In February I got run over by a driver when on my bicycle. The driver admitted responsibility, and passed me his insurance details to claim back for my bike, which was completely destroyed. I submitted the claim, with recipes and quotes, now whenever I call them it is still "being processed" and they can't give me a time estimation as to when it will be sorted.
My bicycle was my main means of transport, and now as a result of their foot dragging I am forking out around £130-140 a month on tube fairs.
Is there anything I can do to get them speed up, from their response I get the impression I will still be waiting this time next year!
Thanks,
Clarvis

See if a claim management company will be interested, they may be if you claim the tube fares as well. Could be too small for them though. Do you have home indurance with legal cover?0

How much is your bike worth?
You can try claiming back for alternative transport but you are almost certainly going to be challenged with why spend circa £500 on alternative transport when you could have picked up a replacement stop gap bike for £900 -
Read up on MCOL, then send them a Letter Before Action.
Write and tell them you need to amend your claim because of their delay and claim the extra fares you have been put to.
Tell them these fares will inflate the claim by £x for every further week they delay, as you cannot afford to get a bike till they send you your money.
If they ignore your letter, then decide whether you want to call their bluff and proceed down the MCOL route.0
