CSA final payment date

Husband has been paying maintenance for his daughter, who is at college doing HND arts course which she completes after 2 years of study in June this year, also her birthday, when she will be 19.
We have asked Csa when final payment will be, and all they say is it continues whilst her mother receives CB.
Can we expect this to be June, her birthday when she leaves college, or will it continue until September, when new school year starts?
She is hoping to continue to university - will CSA assessment criteria still continue, or can we help and pay funds independently to daughter, without mother (and CSA) being involved in loop?
any advice very welcome - thanks

Im not too sure when the csa stops, I thought it was the September after the child's 19th birthday if they were in full time education, whatever way maintenace payments wont continue, but if your husband and you want to make a contribution to help her through uni then you can give it to her direct and not the parent with care0

I would imagine once the CB stops in september the child support stops also as long as your husband has no out standing arrears.
Can i just say i was impressed that you say when the CSA stops your husband still wants to contribute towards his daughter :T :T some just can't wait until the CSA just stops and they no longer have to contribute anything.Hit the snitch button!member #1 of the official warning clique.:j:D

I know that when my daughter continued in f/t education to do her A Levels, Child Benefit advised me that I needed to ring them back in September to confirm she was still continuing. Child Benefit was automatically paid til September so I presume it is the same rule for Higher Education.Integrity is a dying art!:p0

In your circumstances, it would be from the date the child ceases non advanced full~time education ( ie if June and then going to university it would usually be the September ~ or if she is not going to go on to university and gets a job it would be the date she gets the job) or her 19th birthday ~ whichever is the earliest

many thanks for your replies
We thought it would possibly be September, but when we spoke to CSA, they said its up to PWC to advise them that CB is no longer being claimed - (now she's not going to do this willingly, knowing that CSA payments will cease.) - do we just stop paying or have to wait for notification from CSA.
We have no arrears at all - but past experience tells us that we need something in writing from CSA to confirm final date.0 -
It should be in September. If you call them about this time, then they have the powers to access this info direct from Child Benefit Centre (Inland Revenue).0

arroli, i wouldnt just stop paying, i'd wait for the CSA to advise you as to when you can stop. much easier.
and it will be the date of her 19th birthday. that should be the closure date for the claim.0 -
Amelias mummy is correct, it depends on the factors she has stated, and it not as clear cut as others make it out to be.0

It depends on the exact date of her 19th birthday because the law changed surrounding Child Benefit in April 2006.
Then the second factor is when she leaves full-time education, as Amelia's mummy saidNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
