Hello,
Hellokitty08 has been a bit of numpty and missed the 2nd payment on my new Halifax credit card. I 100% believed I had set up a direct debit, but turns out I hadnt.
I phoned up and made the next payment immediatly and requested a direct debit to be sent up in excess of the minimum balance every month.
If I phone again do you think they would be swap me back on to my promotional interest free rate? Anyone had any success with anything similar?
Thanks

Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.

Maybe. Although missing two payments is pushing it. And the best time to ask is as soon as you phone up to apologise for missing the payment.
But you can try.0 -
Just the second payment, i did make the first one because I thought that I had set up a direct debit for the minimum payment, i was also going to do an extra online payment every month to top it up to £100. So the first month they just got the £100 and the 2nd month was the one I missed.Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.0

Just give them a call and explain to them what happened I am sure if you do this you should be okay... We all make mistakes.
Good Luck.0 -
All sorted. They put my back on the interest free rate. I also made sure i set up the direct debit and made the payment for next month too, so hopefully I should be all sorted now.
It was def worth the phone call. Thats 16 months back of interest free. Money saving indeed.Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.0 -
