I am just about to have a bathroom refitted & £3,500 seems a crazy figure to pay for fittings, but it's hard to know without more details. The fitting costs also seem a bit on the high side~but I'm basing that on quotes for my bathroom which is not large. Will also depend where in the country you are.

    Hi Eliza
The fitting charge sounds about right, maybe slightly dear but ok if he is a good fitter. Also depends where you are.
The cost of the suite sounds very dear to me. By shopping around im sure you could cut at least a grand off of that if not more.

    I wish I was a plumber :D

Count £200 per day per tradesperson.
    4.5 days for plumber £900
    4 days for tiling £800
    0.75 days for plastering £150
    Total £1850.

    Allow £2000 max for labour.

    Hope this helps
    baldly going on...

thanks.re the fitter.as for the fittings i got my maths wrong.........take a walk in shower off there for 1,700 as it would make my bathroom too cramped even though it is fairly big.....x

Dont forget the plumber might be VAT registered so will only be actually getting £1700 if that is the case.
