Cameron calls for referendum

Cameron says the Greeks should treat the next election as a referendum on staying in the eurozone. In other words, if they want to keep the euro, they had better do the right thing and vote for a pro-bailout party, or else.
Meanwhile, the Beeb reckons Hollande has been cosying up to Barroso and the Italian PM to manoeuvre around Merkel, and eurozone bonds are back on the agenda. In fact the Germans do seem to be saying definitely maybe to every idea that comes along lately. They must be rattled.

"It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis

Cameron's "world stage" games are reminiscent of Browns "save the world" campaign..how dare he interfere with the Greek political process by recommending they treat the election as a referendum on the EU when he ran on the same agenda and then reneged when in office. Its too little too late for Obama and the EU gang anyway, the market and bank depositors are talking with their feet.0

Yes, it does seem like Merkel is going to have to U-Turn.
Germany is just as screwed if the Eurozone collapses as anyone else.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Perhaps he could offer them the "cast iron" guarantee he offered us on the EU.
Here Is Camerons promise, rusting at the bottom of the ocean.

I hope he will offer the same choice at the next election.
Vote Lib/Lab/Con for Europe.
Vote UKIP for Britain.

Good point. It's hard to appreciate the impact of Cameron's "cast iron" guarantee unless you can actually see and hear the lies coming out of his mouth.
So here you are, here is David Cameron, telling lies;

Just incredible isn't it?
This man is not fit to be Prime Minister.
If you vote Tory, you're voting against freedom and democracy.0 -

So who do you suggest people vote for that actually is in favour of freedom and democracy?
As far as I can tell they all tell the same set of "pork barrel" fed lies.
The main parties are now so alike it is hard to find anyone worth voting for that might actually give a monkeys what you think.0 -

It's not up to me to suggest who you vote for that's none of my business and not my place. Making suggestions on who to vote for opens a debate without end.
I'll give you a clue though, you hit the nail on the head when you point out that none of the "three main parties give a monkey's what you think".
My own preference is UKIP. That's who I wlll be voting for.0 -

It irks me no end that Government have 2 policies that almost no one I meet supports;
1) Vast billions in non emmergency foreign aid, whilst telling us the kitty is bare
2) Fighting silly costly wars, shooting and bombing Afghans the vast majoirty of whom just want foreign invaders off thier soil (as all of you reading this would if say Russian troops were over here blowing up British children with hi tech bombers). Why not do as many other nations do, just butt out and secure your borders.0 -
What about the referendum in UK (to decide if we can leave EU) ?? When are we going to get it?Cameron says the Greeks should treat the next election as a referendum on staying in the eurozone.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0
