Cameron calls for referendum

Not on Cameron's watch, if he can possibly help it.What about the referendum in UK (to decide if we can leave EU) ?? When are we going to get it?
In fact it's still pretty much unforeseeable that any British PM will want to be the PM who pulls us out of Europe.
In any case, any PM who calls a referendum will presumably have to campaign for a "stay in" vote, so when he loses, his credibility will have gone and he'll have to resign. Then it gets interesting because nobody will want to take over.
Norman Smith's description of Cameron in relation to the eurozone - "ashen-faced back-seat passenger"."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0 -
It is probably an indication of the likely severity of the situation if (or when) the Eurozone collapses, that prompts the leader of an anti-EU party, who vehemently opposes membership of the Euro for the UK to try to influence the Greeks to vote to for pro-Euro parties - which in my opinion would be akin to turkeys voting for Christmas."When the people fear the government there is tyranny, when the government fears the people there is liberty." - Thomas Jefferson0
