I used to think it was cute until he ate lilies and had to go to the vets and it cost a fortune luckily we have insurance so got the money back. Never realised lilies were poisonous to them, we now have a no live plant/flower rule. Still eats random stuff though like hair bobbles, plastic bag handles, the elastic off his cat toys. I swear it's worse than having a small child.0

I'm having a sheaf style country looking hand tied bouquet with mauve september, blue veronica, thistles, heather, ivory roses and a mix of grasses and mixed foliage with silver butterfly decorations (very tiny butterflies)
OOw that sounds lovely I was told that heather was out of season in september as I wanted it in my bouquet. But still migt be able to get some in as have some growing in my garden!:):kisses3: Married 29th September 2012

Yep, I'm one too - a BrideBuddha? - I'll be having whatever I can get in season at the florists in shades of pink & make my own - my mum, sis & I are planning a 'flower night' the night before my wedding - sitting around the kitchen table making posies & corsages etc & then having a takeaway
early August - probably roses, gerberas, daisies & greenery from everyone's gardens!0 -

Jammy that sounds fabulous!
I am getting married in Italy in summer 2014, I plan to either order a mixed box of wildflowers or pick them when I get there, and get my clever friends to help me fashion some bouquets before the wedding.0 -
It's still just in season now - know any keen gardeners?

Ahhh, sadly my wedding isn't until July! But thanks

I'm a keen gardener unforfornately even I can't work miricles and keep it flowering until July/September without spending a hudge amount of heating greenhouses etc! It's still just in season now - know any keen gardeners?
- Don't know the laws in Italy about picking wildflowers but there are laws over here to protect endanged species. Just be careful is my advise if you are going to pick them also be aware that some plants can cause reactions such as cow parsley and euphobia so know what you're picking and where gloves if in doubt don't pick it!yellowcrocus wrote: »Jammy that sounds fabulous!
