Very vintage style flowers - roses, bouvardia, freesias, gypsophila etc, and maybe some herbs - oh and lavender. :)

Ooh great thread! I am so excited about my flowers - they are one of my top priorities for the day! Like Wanchai, I am having a very vintagey feel too with garden roses, cornflowers, goats beard, salvia, sweet peas, chamomile daisies, delphiniums, dahlias and peonies with wild garden foliages. I cannot wait to see what they turn out like!!:j

I love Lisanthus and eucalyptus - great choices! Lisanthus is meant to represent a deep and heartfelt romantic desire so it's a very fitting choice for your bouquet! :rotfl:
  • Is there such a thing as the opposite of a bridezilla ? I remember my entire conversation with the florist consisted of " Can i have something spectacular in reds and yellows, please ? "

The resulting flowers were indeed spectacular but she did tell me that of all the weddings she'd done, mine had given her the biggest stress because i'd just left her to it. She said it had given her the best buzz though when she saw how happy we were with the flowers :)

I had Ivory Roses and Lily Of The Valley - family tradition in memory of my nanna who passed away 9 years ago. She had the same flowers as did my mum and my aunties on their wedding day so i wanted to carry it on x

I just asked for bright seasonal british "country garden" flowers.I couldn't be bothered with a colour scheme, so I had all of the colours!
