Advice wanted on garden wall

Hi guys & girls
Over the years I've answered many questions on the DIY forum, but this one's got me stumped, so hope someone can return the favour...
We're planning a circular patio in the middle of our little garden, with raised beds to curve round and semi enclose the patio. Height of wall to be decided but I'm thinking 600mm or so.
I would like a crisp rendered look, which may be beyond my DIY capabilities, to lay the bricks in an accurate curve, then render it. So instead I'm thinking:
And would it be wise to hammer some reinforcing rods down into the earth, following the centre of the wall?
Thanks for any advice

- Dig shallow footing
- Bang in pegs carefully & fix ply to form curved shuttering
- Fill with concrete
And would it be wise to hammer some reinforcing rods down into the earth, following the centre of the wall?
Thanks for any advice

Don't use ply to form your circle use plastic make up 75or 100mm, forms a natural circle and is foolproof, we use it all the time for our driveways and overlays, amazing shapes can be formed using this method.0

Smart idea. Cheers. Could you give away a trade secret & tell me what plastic you use?
Also.... I assume from your reply that you dont see a problem with the basic idea of cast concrete. The bloke who's doing the circular patio for me didn't like the sound of it. He suggest I look at Marshalls Tegula Walling laid on end, but it would cost a bloody fortune!
thanks again!0
