cheap weekend for family of three

Hi I’m currently looking for a cheap weekend (2 nights) for 2 adults and 6 year old child in UK preferably near a nice seaside and town, i live in the west midlands so would like to keep my journey down to about 2 and half hours if possible, i have looked at the usual places like travel lodge, premier inn's and so on but i would just really like some ideas and reviews from anyone that has stayed somewhere like I’m looking for. My budget is fairly small hence reason I’m posting this, I’m looking in the £100 or less reigon. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated as I’m struggling now. Also another stumbling point is dates I need to go, it’s for my daughter’s birthday and it’s July 27th so would like to keep it as close to that date as possible.

Thank you

    hi

£50 per night for a room in the school summer holidays in a seaside location is pretty tough call..

i usually find this site has the cheapest family holidays..

    http://www.breakfreeholidays.co.uk

but i think £50 a night might be a bit impossible in late July..

let us know how you get on...

if i think of anything else i will let you know..

How about the travel lodge in Scarborough I have heard its really nice, I have not been since it became travel lodge but the hotel st nicholas was an impressive building. I have worked in there.
    They often advertise cheap deals.

Pontins are having a blue cross sale on the 25th may and are offering appartments from £79 but full details cant be gained until then. Could this be an option for you as they will be valid for breaks in June/July and september.

I don't know what they are like but saw a post on HUKD that Puma hotels are doing a £20.12 per per per night offer and the dates include July. I just checked a random date and The Imperial Hotel Blackpool is £80.48 in total for 2 nights from 25/7 in a family room When I tried to add a child to the booking it said kids stay free so only could input two adults but it brought up the family room with rollaway beds.

Sorry just seen you mentioned a weekend and looked and dates are significantly more at the weekend and also probably not that suitable for a 6 year old as sometimes at weekends budget hotels at popular seaside resorts fill up with stag and hen party groups. You may be best to look for a caravan type break near the sea.
