I need to stop reading threads and go and do some of this.

I'm in again this week. Although I've not been keeping up all week - things are definately looking better. Maybe this week I'll keep up till the end.

Babysteps for me today - DS2 and I have eaten porridge, DW is on and a corner of the worktop cleared and cleaned, a handful of mail from the hotspot in the LR opened and sorted.

Next step is at least one of the 3 phonecalls on the list for today and making a sarnie for DH who comes home for lunch on Mondays.
  • I'm new here and would like to join in - after all what have I got to lose! As I look round I feel I have a H(ouse)ofD rather than a RofD!
I plan to take it slowly though and prob just stick to the list more or less till I get the jist of it. Kitchen isn't too bad as usually manage to keep the basics going but dining room is a bit more scary:eek:

We seem to have a bees nest in the loft - anyone got any experience - what is the best thing to do?

When we had a swarm at work, quite late last year, we called a local bee keeper and he came and collected them. I don't remember seeing a bill for the work... Let us know how this pans out.

Out and about at the end of the week; will need to fit in some laundry herding and probably will be putting away the washing up when I get home. Oh, and resetting the central heating clock here as it seems to think it's 4.30am.:D

  • went AWOL and did a revised version of flying last week. I don't have a room of doom anymore, as it got sorted for when my friends came at easter, but it was really bad and took forever to do. i do have PoD, pockets of doom, namely a large built in cupboard in the sitting room, plus a very messy under the stairs, which is such a pain, as a friend came round at w/e to do some diy for me and i had to practically remove tons to get to tool box, which is now a bit of a hotspot, as its not all been put back, don't fit now so here is my list

Kitchen/dining room done - just need to get steamer out for floor
Hotspot is going to be in hall, where i will ram stuff back under stairs - sorting it can be a job for next week
    Meal plan/clean fridge/microwave
Need to change/wash bedding as it didnt get done w/e.
    paperwork
Job for the week I want to sort l/r cupboard, so will aim to do a shelf a day,
Big hugs to all the people on here going through an emotional time, plus anyone needing it.

    Hello again x
    Posting this again...

Im usually lurking on this thread but wanted to encourage LameWolf to post. I fear that she might have been frightened off by a rather insensitive post on another thread - not OS board. I will very much miss you if you stop posting and those thoughts are not representative of how I perceive you and Im sure I wont be alone in thinking this my OS friend x
LW if you dont post soon we will all start sending pms begging you to come back to this thread, i dont know what was said to upset you but some people are either not kind or just dont think, dont let them steal you from us by stopping your posting in here.
    OK, OK, I submit!:D

No, seriously, folks, thank you all for caring.:o Long story short, someone engaged in a spot of cripple-bashing on another board. Shan't be going there again, I shall stay on OS, where I know I'm reasonably safe!

I haven't even logged onto MSE over the weekend, but this was partly because I was using the 10-year-old PC which runs at the speed of a three-legged sloth with narcolepsy. But I needed to print some stuff, and the netbook isn't connected to the printer......

I'm going to be busy this week, so mightn't be posting a lot - I have 4 days (Mr LW wfh Thursday so that'll be a "lost" day Flying-wise) to get the bungalow up to scratch and finish packing my case.

I'll be AWOL next week, as we're away, so do not worry unless you hear reports of the IOW Ferry sinking!!:D

    OK, what else.....

Healing vibes for William and Ed

    Peaceful vibes for Bossymoo

The Flying Bit: Mr LW had the deep fat fryer in pieces yesterday to give it a really good clean, so I had to give the work surface and the sink a really good clean, too, when he'd finished, so I'm slightly ahead in the kitchen stakes this week.:D

I've warned him today is "last call" for anything he wants washed to take away with him - after tonight's machine-load, I refuse to guarantee it'll be available.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
