Hotel Booking Problem

Hi
Hopesomeone can advise me on this. I waslooking for a cheap break in the sun for the end of June and came across an allinclusive hotel in Lloret, Spain for 10 days for £110.
I immediately tried to check reviews of the hotel, but none seemed to exist. I then spotted the same hotel under a different name and the reviews were not brilliant. However, another website I came across says that the hotel has been completely refurbished this year.
The main problem is that every other website seems to have this hotel priced at around £500/£600. I have booked it, but not paid for it as you pay directly to the hotel. Does that mean that the hotel can charge me the full price even though I have emails and screenprints showing the price I booked at?
It was booked with v enere if that makes any difference.
Thanks

would you be looking at the flamingo/frigola hotel.
if so, they wrere branded together up till this year and are now separate hotels. the frigola has had a paint job and is the poorer relation, mainly geared to clubbers and is not really suitable for families.
some companies have not yet separated these hotels which could explain the difference in pricing.
if yoyu have a screenshot and e-mail you should be fine, but just be sure you know where exactly you will be staying.
if it is not this hotel please provide some more details and i will try to help further.0 -
We are having problems in reclaiming monies when a hotel was shut - although we booked throught Venere and to be fair they are doing what they can to help the monies have been paid directly to the hotel and we can't get them back.
I suppose what I am sayingis that it seems your contract will be directly with the hotel - may be worth sending an email confirming your booking and requesting an acknowledgement?0 -
£11 a day AI?
If every other site has it at 500% more, I would strongly suspect it's an error and the correct price would be asked for.
If it truly is £110 for 10 days AI, I'd be lacing my running shoes up0 -
Thanks everyone, but the problem is now solved. They've cancelled it !
Just done another quick search and the same holiday is now £658:eek:
It was the Mediterranean Sand Hotel which used to be the Dex Hotel.0
