Brighton 9th June Help Needed

Hi all on Sat 9th june My OH is taking part in the london to brighton 100k now my problem is after dropping him in london i then need to head to brighton to await his arrival there on the sunday. I am looking for cheap and i mean on a shoe string accommodation for the night of the 9th in Brighton all i have been able to find is well over my budget. I am travelling from leicester so is quite a trek.
Can anyone suggest anything?
