Wrought iron sidegate: How to cover up?

My mum has just had her patio rebuilt on her semi and wants a side gate put in.
She wants a wooden sidegate but I think a wrought iron one would look better and match the railings around her basement lightwell.
One thing she is worried about is privacy. Is there something you can affix to a wrought iron gate to prevent seeing through it that wont look shoddy?
I was thinking fake flowers or something? Thoughts please thx

You can get metal mesh of various sizes, the sort of thing you see in fire guards.0
