    Thanks Mart

Company B did mentioned that YingLi sponsored some big football tournament few years back (can't remember which one), meaning that their aims are to break into big boy market. It doesn't mean anything. Too be honest even if it lasts 10 years and it breaks even with money it doesn't matter :) since with my money I don't take usury (interest) for religious reasons.

    Thanks again

    Martyn,
I did it earlier and fortunately the figures were similar - we are going to confirm the Sunrise system tomorrow - fingers crossed - the better performance figures in the independent tests sealed it.
    Thanks for all your help.

I'm still busy anoraking, and was thinking how similar most of the numbers were, till I spotted 3 (I think) that are, well, let's be kind - not particularly good.

Cheers, think I'll be popping back and for to that one to waste even more time.

    Which 3?
I am not normally very good with these things - i have read it right that the Sunrise panels performed better in the independent tests than the Yingli Panda ones?
Please let me know before i confirm tomorrow.

I don't think you need to worry on that score. FIT payments aren't seen as 'interest' - more as a reward for endeavour. I'm sure your conscience will be fine thinking of it as an 'extra salary' or 'rent for your roof area'.

Julie, I'm reading it the same as you.

    The 'interesting' ones are:-

    Latitude Solar,
    Mage Solar,
    IBC Solar

    I wonder what happened there?

I think you misunderstood my message, maybe I wasn't clear. I meant if I had the £5,500 in Bank it will just sit there, not earn any interest. Given the reason above.

So by putting Solar Panels on and even if I break even by getting £5.5k money back via Solar Panels, I haven't lost anything, since £5.5k in bank for 6-7 years will still be £5.5K.

:) I wasn't saying FIT payment is usury (interest) That's a reward. The more the better :)

I have read this thread with some interest, I had a Yingli system fitted and was very disappointed with it.
After the 1st year it had hardly touched on the amount of KWH's it was supposed to do. As it turns out some of the panels had gone faulty.
I changed the entire system and it is now doing very well.
The company who fitted the Yingli have disappeared and they never gave me an insurance backed guarantee. Which I found out after they legally have to provide.
It is essential you get this guarantee, if one company is offering you a 10 year warranty with insurance your in safe hands.
I believe Aurora inverters also carry the 10 year warranty.
My father had Sunrise panels fitted, black with black frames, they look great and are generating much more than estimated. I couldn't find anyone local to fit sunrise, I now wish I had taken more time to source a company who could get me them.

    Hi Salim

Thanks for your input. So can I asked which Panel you ended up after JingLi Panels?

Which Model of JingLi Panels did you had Installed originally?

When you had your entire system changed did you get to keep FITs?

    Bit update on my system

I have been told they are hoping to start installation on my system on Monday 4th June. EPC will be done on same day. I have been informed they have spoken to the EPC person and he says my house should easily make Grade D.
