No idea on quality of components.

They don't seem to be exaggerating like some SP companies are inclined to do.

The PVGIS Site http://re.jrc.ec.europa.eu/pvgis/apps4/pvest.php predicted a slightly higher yield of 2470Kwh for year; in practice you'd be in with a chance of getting even more most years.

2060Kwh @21p should earn £432 plus another £33 for deemed export total earnings = £464 so they're only assuming that you'll save £100 on electricity bills.

All in all, a pretty conservative estimate.

Their first year projected earnings of £561 is actually only 10.4% of £5399 rather than 12% - though still a lot more than you'd earn in an ISA or have to pay on a loan.

As seems to be the norm, they've made an assumption that there will be a particular rate of inflation over the next 25 years but haven't said what they're using or offered any evidence that it would be accurate.

Have they done an EP assessment on the property (or are they guaranteeing completion before you need one) ? If not, and you're not adequately graded you might only get 9p/Kwh ! Need to confirm that before accepting deal.

    Hi EricMears

Thanks that great. They will only do an EP after I agreed to go ahead. I think my house should meet the band d.

The quote they did say was at low side. Its just that every company use different panel and inverters and claim there are the best so not quite sure if sunrise panel are any good.

    Thanks again

Not a panel that I've ever heard of (but I'm no expert); hopefully someone else will have.

Are they offering to let you cancel agreement if the full EPC comes back as E , F etc ?

What's your house heating like Shafeeq? Condensing gas combi, with double glazing, loft and wall insulation and you'll walk a D - the boiler is pretty critical as it comes with lots of points! Modern gas boiler of any sort will probably do it - electric storage heaters etc and you may have a problem.

Glad you said that Eric. The very thing that jumped off the page (well, screen) at me was that the numbers were reasonable. I certainly hope they get some bonus points for that.

Sadly I know nothing about those panels too. Looked them up via Sunny Design, and boy are there a lot of companies that start with sun, when will the Chinese discover the advantage of 'Aardvark' for marketing! Anyways, they manufacture a very large range of panels, but quite how that helps draw any conclusions - I don't know.

Best of luck to you Shafeeq, nice fair numbers all round.

    Hi

Thanks again to all for all the help I recieved my proper quote today and I have asked them about EPC their reply is below.

We will be able to help you achieve this (ie by putting energy saving bulbs in etc) – though the installation of PV is the best way to raise the EPC rating of a property. If your property does not reach the level and you chose not to go ahead then the deposit is fully refundable. You also have a 7 day cooling off period where you are free to change your mind. Your deposit is also protected by free insurance which we pay for you as part of our regulatory commitment
