Hi
I recently bought a Samsung home theatre surround sound kit (Tesco's deal of the day :money:) comprising dvd player and 5.1 speaker set and have mislaid the instructions
I've already got it all connected up to work via the dvd but I wondered if there was any way of connecting the TV and video player too so they use the 5.1 speakers and not just the tv's internal ones.
I seem to have some left over leads and haven't got a clue what they're for, although I believe one is to do with connecting to some sort of VHF output as I remember reading you could play radio through it too.
The leads are, I believe, phono leads? (sorry not good with electrics) and are colour coded red, white and yellow so I assume they are something to do with sound devices?
Does anyone have any ideas please?

Follow this link - Samsung Home Theatre - and then select the model you have. You'll see a small box on the right hand side of the page offering you a download of the manual for that model.0

in short, the answer would be to connect the tv to your 5.1 system using audios provided (just red and white forget yellow). depending on make and model of your tv, you should have audio out connectors (red and white) and your system should have audio in connectors. simply attach these.
If your TV doesnt have audio outs then you need a scart to audio lead
