I have been given a USB drive with a video on it but when I have plugged it into my Acer Aspire 5735Z laptop all I can get is the audio but no picture. All it shows are coloured lines
The video downloaded onto my Mom's desk computer and can be watched but it isn't working for me on my laptop.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong please?
Thanks

Lappy could be too underpowered
USB connection could be too slow to stream the movie
Lappy may not have the correct video codecs (most likely)0 -
You're probably just missing the relevant codec; try using this to identify it.
Note: ignore the big Download buttons at either end of the page. They're ads.0 -
Thanks to you both - it was the codecs. Have now sorted it and can watch the video.
Thanks again.0 -

Downlaod VLC player is the safest way to pay any video without the risk of install spyware that MAY come with some codecs.

It's a useful application to be sure but I prefer to keep feature duplication to a minimum.0
