I tend to give donations to charity as presents for everything - birthdays, weddings, christmas etc. Try https://www.goodgifts.org or https://www.oxfamunwrapped.com.
Also, I would agree that books make great presents for children.0 -
As a mum I would say buy clothes coz they are always usefull!!!
As someone who adores shopping and buying presents I would suggest something a wee bit special.
I don't know where in Scotland you are but in ortak in Glasgow they have fantastic handpainted canvases with any thing you want written on them or try the disney store. They have lovely Winnie the Pooh figures and bring new ones out each year so you can build up a great collection.
That is what I have been buying for my goddaughter .:AIt matters not how long a stars shines ,what is remembered is the brightness of it's light.
JAN Battle attacks cars, 3 VIP althletics tickets, fairtrade choccy .... yum

Unfortunately, I forgot about her birthday (it's on Tuesday next week!) until my mother reminded me last night (in my defence I've got major works going on in my house!) So I had to run to Asda this morning before work, and got some books for her. my brother's wife doesn't like supermarket clothes! My mum's starting a collection of Dolton figures for the child, so for the christening, which is turning into a huge drama, i'm going to go for the coins that Cats suggested, and probably the monkey adoption as well.0

Better late than never! I have just come across a great idea for baby gifts if you are ever stuck for ideas. They're called Babylegs and I found the on Anara Toys website when I was searching for inspiration myself.
They are a little like the leggings (you know the one's - we all had them in the 80's :rotfl:), but they have a more practical reason too - they help prevent 'Gapiosis'.0 -
There is a lady on ebay who does lovely personalised fleeced blankets and towels, etc. I have just bought a pink piglet blanket personalised with a friends babys name. Reasonable too.now mum of 4!!!0
