Booked with British Airways and holiday is now cheaper!

Hi guys,

I wonder if you can help me. We booked a holiday with British Airways back in November last year, and I have just repriced it up again today only to find that it is now £400 cheaper for the exact same holiday!

Gave BA a call, only to be told (quite abruptly) that there was nothing they could do about it. I know that I shouldn't expect much (and that its my fault for booking early), but the difference in cash would come in somewhat handy (for food, tickets, etc.)

Does anyone know if there is anything that could be done to try and get the price of the holiday down somewhat closer to the price BA are currently offering?

Many thanks,
MrSmee :)

Cancel and rebook - if the cancellation charges are not too much

Otherwise no, there is nothing you can do.

same as above, once booked you should stop looking at the prices as there is never much you can do.

It is an oft trotted out phrase on here but would you be happy to pay the extra if the price had gone up?

What if you cancel and the exact holiday is no longer available?
Why did you book last November?

Did you know whatever you buy there is a good chance it will be cheaper 6 months later eg computers televisions cameras holidays etc.
There is also an equal chance it will be dearer!

So many new posters with the same question?

Why do we never see a new poster ask should i pay more because the price has gone up? and why do people check the price again after holiday has been booked?

Why do people book package holidays so early?

I was looking at another travel forum where a woman had just booked her family summer holiday for 2013!

Even more amazing are the people who book so early but don't take out insurance at the time of booking.
